Americans Burned in Acid Attack at French Train Station

The Marseille prosecutor's office sad four young female United States tourists were attacked with acid in Marseille's main train station by a woman who has been arrested.

The women were sprayed with acid by a 41-year-old woman who has been detained by police, according to the Marseille prosecutor's office.

Two of the tourists suffered facial injuries and were rushed to hospital after the attack outside a Marseille train station.

All four of those involved in the incident were thought to be American women, and they were travelling as a party. The women, all in their 20s, were sprayed with hydrochloric acid, which hit two of them in the face and left the other two hospitalised with shock. Police do not believe the attack is terror related.
