The pair are thought to have drifted apart amid a rumoured rift following Girls Aloud's split in 2009, with Sarah even addressing it during her stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house when she declared she wouldn't talk about Cheryl - only to then go back on her word.

Chad is now back home in the United States, while Sarah is here, but according to someone close to the couple they are going to take their relationship to the next level.

Amelia told The Sun: "The chemistry between them is vast". It could be sooner than you think. 'I didn't fancy any of the lads when I got in the house, with me and Chad we only had each other to lean on and after we were both nominated things grew'.

Sarah was the victor of CBB 2017, and kept up her relationship with American lothario Chad as the two were seen together out and about.

During Sarah's time in the 'Celebrity Big Brother" house this summer, she revealed that she no longer spoke to her ex-bandmates, specifically mentioning that she and Cheryl hadn't had any contact since her "X Factor' days. 'He's gone back to LA now so I don't know...'

He told the Daily Star: "Sarah has publicly shown that she is still confused and emotionally suffering after living for years in a bubble in the aftermath of fame".

'I want to be sensible about this, ' she confessed to the Loose Women.

"I've got Cheryl's number - we don't have to prove we're friends online".
