Jason Day makes caddie change at PGA BMW

Day has used his longtime coach Colin Swatton as his caddie but he's making a switch this week. Reardon is a friend and former roommate at the golf academy they both attended back home in Australia.

Under Swatton's guidance, Day remarkably rose through the ranks winning the 2015 US PGA and climbing to the top of the rankings. "It's just - he's coming off the bag and going to more of a coaching role now".

That's because Reardon's travel visa expires at the end of this month, meaning he won't be able to caddie for Day at the Presidents Cup which ends October 1. "I might have another buddy on the bag at the Presidents Cup and we'll see how it goes", Day said. Maybe it will spark something in Day, though, as he's No. 28 in the FedEx Cup standings and will be fighting to make it to the Tour Championship next week.

Jason Day joins a long list of big-name players who have dropped caddies in 2017. "I don't want anyone else to get coached by him because he's a really good coach".

The official Twitter account of Dartmouth College posted a message detailing part of the supposed shooters description. The shooting caused evacuations and elicited a massive police response to the sprawling hospital campus in Lebanon .

"My buddy, his visa is up in September", Day said. "I'm planning on trying to keep him around". "He can't caddie at the Presidents Cup".

"... Obviously, I know there's a relationship there and me and him have been inseparable since the day I came out". "I was anxious if I kept it going, it was going to head that way, and I love him too much to have him not in my life because of how special he is to me". "If not, obviously go through the steps of trying to find someone more secure on the bag for next year".

Many were shocked when Phil Mickelson and Jim "Bones" Mackay split earlier this summer, and Day's firing of Swatton has proved similarly surprising.

"Like I said, nothing is broken". "... The timing can be a little tough but I just was thinking I'm like if I come to an event such as the BMW this week and I'm not clicking within the game, is that going to hurt me or help me?" It's uncertain as of now whether this is a long-term decision.
