Asus ZenFone 4 series set to debut in India on September 14th

ASUS India has brought the ZeFone 4 series to the Indian market and and while the series has a bunch of phones, it is the Selfie phones that are getting introduced today. It packs the same hardware but comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which is also expandable to 2TB.

This Hybrid Dual SIM smartphone is packed with a 16MP rear optics with dual-tone LED Flash and PDAF. Both the devices will be available exclusively on Flipkart along with exchange offers and 100GB of free data with Reliance Jio.

As the name itself suggests that the Zenfone 4 Selfie is made for selfies oriented audiences in India.

Along side the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro and the ZenFone 4 Selfie, Asus also launched another variant of the ZenFone 4 Selfie that comes with a single 13-megapixel camera on the front as well as on the rear.

The Zenfone 4 Selfie, on the other hand, comes with a combination of 20MP standard sensor along with an 8MP wide-angle lens with 120-degree field-of-view. The smartphone sports a 64GB ROM which is expandable up to 128 gigs via microSD card. Sensors on the device include: fingerprint sensor, accelerator, E-Compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and front RGB sensor.

The Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie (ZD553 KL) is identical to the Zenfone 4 Selfie (Z8553KL) except for the dual front camera setup and a rear camera of higher resolution. The rear camera is a 16-Megapixel sensor with EIS, Bokeh mode and LED flash. Weighing 147g, the smartphone packs a 3000mAh battery with fast charging support and offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Global Positioning System as connectivity options. It comes with a full, metal body which is quite slim and light - nearly 7mm and 145 gram - and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner along with physical capacitive keys which are also backlit. Coming to the 3GB RAM variant, the dual front camera setup features 13MP and 8MP sensors. Besides these differences, the Zenfone 4 Selfie adorns a 5.5-inch AMOLED HD 720p display with 2.5D curved glass on top.

The Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro and ZenFone 4 Selfie (ZD553KL) will be available in Sunlight Gold, Rouge Red, and Deepsea Black colour variants, while the ZenFone 4 Selfie (ZB553KL) will be available in Sunlight Gold, Rose Pink, and Deepsea Black colour variants.

Powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, the phone features 3GB RAM.

Priced lesser of the three, the Zenfone 4 Selfie features a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display. It comes with 3 gigs of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable by up to 2TB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The Pro variant measures 154.02x74.83x7mm and weighs 145 grams while the regular variant measures 155.66x75.9x7.85mm and weighs slightly less at 144 grams. The 3,000mAh non-removable battery on this device only supports 5V/2A (10W) fast charging technology.

The phone is upgraded on the camera front from Zenfone 4 selfie.
