Dead At Nursing Home In Florida Following Hurricane Irma

At least five people have died at a nursing home in Hollywood, Florida, Broward County Mayor Barbara Sharief said during a press conference Wednesday morning.

Rescue crews began evacuating the Rehabilitation Center at Hollywood Hills early Wednesday to evacuate scores more from the the facility, NBC Miami reports.

"To my knowledge and to my understanding, what I have right now, there's a total of five deaths from the same facility", Sharief said. Police are going to the 42 other assisted living facilities in the area to check on those other residents. The building has been sealed off while police investigate. The nursing home was one of them. Multiple stretchers are also on site.

The data shows that 2016 was the third straight year the bureau found a decline in the share of people without health insurance. For non-expansion states, the rates ranged from 5.3 percent in Wisconsin to 16.6 percent in Texas.
