Russian Federation friendship rock solid: Sushma

According to a tweet by the Indian Embassy in Russia, Sushma Swaraj also said that there was no way this friendship could get weak.

Head of the Party Central Committee's Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh delivers a speech at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok city on the Far East of Russian Federation.

She said the leadership of the two countries had identified trade and economic relations as a top priority in their overall partnership and both the nations made "very significant" investments in each other's countries a year ago.

"Politically, India has the best of relations with Russian Federation". While addressing the forum she further added that if the East and India work together, by 2015 it can achieve a business goal of $30 billion.

Almost 5,000 top public officials, representatives of respected organisations and leaders of large Russian and foreign companies get together at the event themed "The Russian Far East: Creating a New Reality".

The evacuation order was lifted early Monday morning after local officials determined it was safe to let residents return home. The 13 affected sites have industrial waste from petrochemical companies, acid compounds, solvents and pesticides.

Sushma Swaraj also held a meeting with Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District.

"There has been no better time to engage with India".

"The business dialogue between the two nations should exist to identify areas of common interest and potential with focus on mutual strengths and complementarity", Swaraj said, while speaking on the occasion in Russian port city Vladivostok. For the development of the Far East, Russia had requested to India that it also invests here. "Investment is in the ultimate analysis an act of faith".

The Eastern Economic Forum is considered as the biggest global communication platform for cooperation between businesses leaders and senior government representatives from Russian Federation, the Pacific Region and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
