Salah scores in six-goal thriller against Watford

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was frustrated that Miguel Britos' injury-time equaliser for Watford on Saturday was not disallowed for offside. "If not, then nothing has changed".

The 25-year-old, who joined from AS Roma in the summer, was one of Liverpool's top performers in the pre-season, netting four goals in six games.

Liverpool showed much greater objective and nine minutes into the second half they were level from the penalty spot. "We know for few days about it, so we have been able to prepare for this game, like we have been able to prepare without Adam Lallana, without Daniel Sturridge". That was our target for the whole of last season and now we have two steps to go - but they are the most hard steps.

"So far there is no signing and that is the situation", Klopp said ahead of his side's Champions League play-off first leg against Hoffenheim. "I would say yes, we need to be happy with this", added the Reds boss, sounding more like he's trying to convince himself than the supporters. I wait for the moment when it feels better. Do I think it is too cool that we didn't fix it so far?

'I think Alberto lost the challenge, which could maybe have been a foul, and there should already have been a player from us in the half spaces which would have meant you can't play the pass in behind.

"I can say something that is maybe more important", Klopp said at a Press conference.

Fenway Sports Group released a statement on Friday insisting the player was not for sale at any price and Coutinho responded by making a formal transfer request.

"It's a similar situation to Luis Suarez, where he put in a transfer request and was made to stay by FSG at that time, but you always felt he'd only be at the club for 12 months".

"I said he's not that type of player - but I don't know what that means when you say that".

Klopp said: "I don't make the decision".
